LIVE ROOM Vol. 1

This archive of one-shots and loops are designed to give you a flavour of the sounds we enjoy working with here in The Cabin.

The Loops included are designed to kick start your creative process, recorded live at two fixed tempos. Bend them, chop them up and have fun.

We Included Hi-Hat Loops to allow for the human feel when programming your beats. From 75BPM to 110BPM in 5BPM increments.

All of the one-shot samples have 4 dynamics and 4 degrees of effects.

Drums Included:

Kick Drums: 

  • Bev (A 1970’s old school English kick with a lot of warmth and thud) 

  • Tam (A 24 inch friendly Maple giant) 

  • Oda (A 20 Inch Brazilian drum made with Teak and Araucaria wood) 

Snares: 

  • Crav (A single ply Birch drum) 

  • 400 (An aluminium shallow snare) 

  • Oda (An Araucaria and Aluminium hybrid snare with wooden hoops) 

  • Murph (The same snare as above, but tuned higher)

Toms: 

  • Bev Open Rack and Floor (Our in-house old english kit, allowed to sustain with no shame) 

  • Thick Rack and Floor (This is Bev muted off with snare weights, tuned lower to add thud and custard to your creative inventory) 

Hi-Hats: 

  • 14 (A 14 inch combo that is warm but still cuts in a pleasing way) 

  • 16 (Two mismatched one-off cymbals that ooze vibe and tone) 

Dynamics: 

  • Extra Soft

  • Soft 

  • Medium 

  • Hard

  • Rim Shot (For Snares) 

Effects: 

  • Dry          (Close Mics Only) 

  • Ambient  (Room Mics and Overheads) 

  • EFX         (A blend of all the mics and external effects blended together)

  • FZY         (Taking the close mics and blending them into a stunning Fuzz pedal) 

Trigger Instruments: 

We have created the .TCI preset files to be implemented into Trigger.  All of the one-shot samples with all of the varying degrees of effects are included. 4 Velocities per instrument and 5 shots to cycle through. This allows for the most human performance.

EXS24 Integration:

We have already done the heavy lifting for those of you who have Logic Pro X. Simply drag the EXS24 Folder into your “Sampler Instruments” folder. Ensure that the main folder of the WAVs is on your host computer and you will be ready to go. We have included a few presets for you to mess around with. Feel free to make your own, change the tuning, mess with filters and have fun!
