The Cabin was opened in 2017 to create a space that was safe, comfortable and affordable for professional musicians. By having a live room and a separate control room, we offer the possibility to record not only singular artists, but also full bands through live tracking. Based in Liverpool’s creative Baltic Triangle, The Cabin is perfectly situated with the option of on-site parking.
The Studio is run and owned by Alec Brits. He has been producing locally in Liverpool since 2014. Making a name for himself by not only being able produce and arrange for artists, but to also play the instruments they need on their records. He
began his professional music journey as a session drummer back in 2010. Working in multiple studios, he realised there was an opportunity to create a more personal recording environment that was not dependant on the artist being in a separate room from the producer or engineer. The “One Room” style of recording is how Alec developed his production techniques and how he allows artists to feel more comfortable in the recording part of the creative process. Whether recording, producing or mixing, Alec is constantly pushing artists’ creativity.
